JESSICA MAY, MA, CCC-SLP

Jessica received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Kent State University in 2010 and her BA in Psychology from Southern Wesleyan University in 2007. FEES certification since 2013, Jessica is also certified to perform MBSS and Videostroboscopy studies and is trained in Vital Stim therapy and Myofacial Release. She has a strong passion for utilizing the most accurate and effective technologies in her practice, particularly while assessing and treating patients with swallow disorders.

Because of her expansive understanding of all diagnostic options available, Jessica is able to clearly convey the benefits and her preference for FEES exams. Jessica also currently practices in both Acute Inpatient and Outpatient settings.  She also has experience in Skilled Nursing and Inpatient Rehabilitation. Jessica has twice presented, 2016 and 2018, at the annual Ohio Health Care Conference on the topic of FEES and its role in reducing hospital readmissions.

Jessica serviced as a Senior Endoscopist/supervisor for the Northeast Ohio area as a mobile FEES provider for 2 years prior to moving to Mississippi with her husband, where he will complete his medical residency training. Member of the American Speech Hearing Association including Special Interest Groups for Swallowing disorders and Voice.
